Method

Servings: 8 Servings

  • 50g Flour
  • 1/2 t Baking Powder
  • 1 T Sugar
Sift together Flour, Baking Powder in a bowl.

Stir in Sugar and combine.

  • 50ml Milk
  • 1 Egg
Whisk egg into milk in a separate container, then add to Flour mix.

Whisk until smooth batter, consistency of double cream.

  • Butter, for frying
Heat pan to medium heat, add a little Butter, once Butter melted add 1 T batter.
Cook 1min, until slightly browned underside and surface is covered in small bubbles.

Flip over and cook for 1min.

Variations

Fruit: 25g Dried fruit. Add in Stage 1, with Sugar.

Chocolate: 25g Chocolate Chips. Add in Stage 1, with Sugar.

Cheese and Onion: No Sugar. 40g Stilton, crumbled. 2 Spring Onions, finely chopped. Add in Stage 1, in place of Sugar.
